Job Introduction

Working with the National Accounts Manager, your main responsibility will be to manage your allocated portfolio of customers to optimise revenues and profitability in line with agreed KPI's, the relevant contracts and business standards.

You will work closely with the Hire Desk and Operations Teams to communicate customer requests, resolve issues and ensure maximum customer satisfaction, all whilst promoting the benefits of working with Torrent Trackside and the wider Vp group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the Hire Desk, Operations and Finance to ensure a high level of customer care, delivering the service offering to any relevant contracts and agreed SLA's.
  • Meet agreed KPI targets.
  • Communicate any customer concerns to the wider business and work to find solutions.
  • Review and analyse the monthly sales report to track performance of regional revenues and maintain accurate forecasts and communicate future growth opportunities.
  • Assist the National Accounts Manager in building a respectful 'one team' culture across all Teams.
  • Develop relationships with customer representatives to maximise opportunity, retain existing business and increase revenue.
  • Promote change positively and assist in embedding new concepts. .
  • Actively manage queries and outstanding PO's to assist with the credit control team in keeping age debt to a minimum.
  • Build and maintain positive and professional regional relationships with the customer throughout all levels of the business.
  • When considered necessary or appropriate by the company you may be required to carry out any duties considered within your skill and competence to assist the smooth running of the business.

What We're Looking For

  • Ability to evidence experience of managing and adding value to large national customers.
  • Positive 'can do' attitude.
  • Highly driven and self-motivated.
  • Able to work on own initiative, be proactive and manage time efficiently.
  • Skilled communicator with excellent presentation skills.
  • A team player.
  • Excellent relationship builder at all levels
  • Excellent IT skills, including the ability to analyse data. Able to use Excel and G42.
  • Has a basic understanding of financial information, importance of P&L and relationship between sales and costs.
  • Experience of presenting commercial arguments formally to key senior external stakeholders
  • Rail industry experience preferred
  • Valid UK driving licence.
