Job summary

Caledonian Recruitment Group Ltd is seeking an Air Conditioning engineer to join a newly formed business responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing air conditioning systems across commercial and industrial settings in the United Kingdom.

You will lead maintenance teams on large projects, read schematics, ensure health and safety compliance, liaise with clients and suppliers, and maintain comprehensive service records.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical knowledge related to air conditioning systems and equipment repair.
• Ability to read schematics, technical drawings and manuals.
• Proven leadership skills to supervise maintenance teams.
• Experience in installation, maintenance and repair of HVAC equipment.
• Knowledge of construction processes as they relate to HVAC installation.
• Excellent organisational skills and accurate documentation.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and test air conditioning systems in accordance with specifications.
• Conduct routine maintenance to ensure systems operate efficiently.
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs on air conditioning units and related equipment.
• Lead maintenance teams during large-scale projects or system upgrades.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and manuals for installation and repair.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all work phases.
• Collaborate with construction teams to integrate HVAC systems.
