Due to rapid growth within the business, OCU Group are currently recruiting for a National Grid Competent Person to join us in Neath!

This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the safety and efficiency of electrical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with National Grid safety standards and regulations.
  • Conduct inspections and maintenance of electrical infrastructure.
  • Perform risk assessments and implement safety measures.
  • Assisting with site operations, deliveries, and general supervision as needed
  • Respond to emergencies and outages promptly and effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a National Grid Competent Person.
  • A National Grid Competency Card (NS16 / NS18)
  • Strong knowledge of National Grid safety protocols and procedures.
  • Relevant certifications and training.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
