Job description

Salary: The starting salary is £47,060, which includes allowances totalling £2,928.

The salary is broken down as £44,132 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £52,652. Plus, a location allowance of £1,928 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.

Job Summary

The National Estates Strategic Delivery Manager is an engagement & coordination role that operates across the Counter Terrorism network, continuing to establish and embed this relatively new function across the organisation. Counter Terrorism Police buildings are owned and managed by other Forces and not by Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP), however the operational & financial efficiency and workplace experience are defined by CTP. This role will work with a network of regional experts, enabling delivery of regional estate strategies that support the objectives of the National Estates Strategy and national performance reporting.

Key Tasks

The post holder will be required to do the following:

  • Facilitate delivery of the National Estates Strategic objectives
  • Implement and maintain a robust National Estate reporting dashboard
  • Deliver the ongoing development of the National Estate Expert Group
  • Work with national stakeholders to ensure documentation and delivery of Regional Estate Strategies
  • Identify and progress opportunities for best practice capture and sharing across the national estate
  • Define future operational CTP scenarios
  • Develop of estates data analysis to enable informed strategic decision making
  • Work with national stakeholders ensuring the national estate is efficient, effective and fit for purpose
  • Assist the National Estates Lead with implementation of the National Estates Board and associated documentation

Key Skills

The post holder must have:

  • Previous estates knowledge at force/regional level or other equivalent organisations.
  • Well-developed tools and techniques for effective stakeholder engagement, such as stakeholder mapping, engagement plans etc. Able to communicate in a way that engages and informs our regional and HQ customers.
  • Ability to create and manage projects effectively.
  • Business Change tools and techniques for effective change support.
  • Broad understanding of Counter Terrorism Policing and its environment.
  • Strong communication, relationship and partnership skills to manage a complex stakeholder landscape.
  • Ability to form effective working relationships across a wide range of people and groups, both internally and externally.
  • Highly effective communication skills to include: effectively conveying information and ideas, actively listening, and fostering positive relationships through clear and respectful communication. Able to interact with a wide range of national stakeholders.
  • Able to create and deliver customer engagement as part of a wider change programme in terms of determining the need and selling the benefits.
  • Ability to capture and analyse data - collecting, processing, and interpreting information to uncover patterns, trends, and insights.This skill is crucial for making informed decisions.
  • Creates and maintains plans/reporting delivering to both team and stakeholder expectations.
  • Demonstrate leadership - engaging people and gaining their commitment.
  • Identifies opportunity and seeks to drive continuous improvement.
