Job summary

Steve Ball is recruiting a Commercial Roofing and Solar PV Technician to join their UK-wide operations. The role requires extensive commercial roofing experience and hands-on Solar PV installation expertise.

You will perform roof surveys, support project delivery, and ensure safety and quality across rooftop works. The ideal candidate will hold relevant roofing qualifications (NVQ 2/3 preferred), a valid CSCS Skilled Worker card, and a full UK driving licence with willingness to travel

Qualifications

Extensive experience on commercial roofing systems (metal sheet, composite panel, flat roofs).
Proven experience installing Solar PV on commercial/industrial buildings.
NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent roofing qualifications preferred.
Valid CSCS Skilled Worker card is required.
Experience with Working at Height and safe systems of work.
Good knowledge of roof waterproofing, fixing methods and maintaining warranties.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally.

Responsibilities

Carry out roof surveys and support project delivery.
Oversee installation quality and ensure rooftop works meet safety and manufacturer requirements.
Provide specialist roofing expertise to the Commercial Solar PV and O&M divisions.
Utilise experience to bridge roofing with solar PV in commercial settings.
