A leading UK ecological consultancy is seeking a national lead for habitats and botany within their Ecology Team. This role involves ensuring high-quality assessments and survey methodologies while mentoring junior staff. You will engage in complex field surveys and contribute to ecological deliverables for various significant projects across England and Wales.

You will get the opportunity to work on a wide portfolio of projects, from nationally significant infrastructure projects to landscape scale restoration. Our portfolio of work includes flood, coastal and maritime projects and a range of other sectors such as ports, water utilities, transport and renewable power.
One of our newest projects is SESRO (South East Strategic Reservoir Option). SESRO is a 150 million cubic metre reservoir near Abingdon, which is also seeking to provide opportunities to create new habitats and increase biodiversity. https://thames-wrmp.co.uk/projects/sesro/.
You would have a leading role in our national Ecology Team to help drive the quality of our surveys, assessment and delivery of BNG and also maximise staff development.
You would be welcome in one of our offices (Redhill, Bradford on Avon/Bristol, Birmingham, Swansea or Chester), but we are open to candidates from across England and Wales and offer flexible working.

Qualifications/Requirements
