National BIM Manager - Product Development

Based in our stylish Mount Waverley Office, work within the busy National Product Development team managing and leading the National BIM team to continuously develop and maintain a BIM system that enables organisational growth, efficiency, and flexibility to support national business objectives. Collaborate with suppliers and external bodies to ensure Metricon’s systems are supported, evolving and recognised as the industry leader.

Reporting to the National Product Commercialisation Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Strategically plan, analyse, provide recommendations related to Revit and associated BIM Systems
• Develop key project objectives and resource plans including existing and required resources and skillsets
• Coordinate and support the National BIM team
• Implementation and continual development of BIM systems
• Support BIM change management across the business
• Content library and cross functional integration
• Hardware and Software strategy and maintenance
• Research and develop future BIM Technology
• Develop and maintain a collaborative relationship with all internal and external stakeholders
• Provide support to functional areas throughout implementation and ongoing as systems evolve
• Determine skill gaps and necessary training needs and develop training plans and support to functions nationally and new staff onboarding
• Provide Leadership and People Management – act as the role model, set the direction and ensure the staff work together

The successful candidate will have:

• 5+ years Revit / BIM experience
• Previous experience in implementation of BIM / Revit systems
• Volume home building industry experience
• Have a high ability level to interpret, understand and communicate business functions and needs
• Highly developed skills and experience with Revit and BIM systems
• Well developed interpersonal and communication skills
• Highly organised – ability to multi-task and deal with a variety of activities
• Working knowledge of the building and construction process
• Knowledge of automation systems
