Position Scope

The Sales Manager, reporting to the Foodservice Channel Controller, manages and develops a portfolio of Foodservice Distributors, Buying Groups, and key End Users. Responsibilities include managing commercial agreements, contracts, and the branded sugar & syrups portfolio, with a focus on bespoke product development. A strong understanding of UK wholesalers, distributors, and key end users is essential.

Strategic Objectives & Key Deliverables

  • Enhance ASR’s performance with target Foodservice distributors and end users across the UK
  • Execute the sales strategy
  • Achieve KPIs related to behaviors, value-added contributions, and leadership in customer engagement

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement channel and customer plans
  • Meet annual sales KPIs for volume, price, CTO, and product mix
  • Follow business behaviors and processes
  • Build relationships with customers
  • Negotiate sales terms
  • Identify new business opportunities
  • Maintain customer, market, and channel knowledge
  • Successfully launch new products
  • Expertise in sales, negotiation, business planning, forecasting, and category management
  • Strong communication, strategic thinking, and analytical skills
  • Autonomous, adaptable, energetic, and ethical
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Essential Work Experiences

  • Proven success in managing Foodservice customers and managing distributors and buying groups in the UK
