Job Description:

National Account Manager (DIY & Distribution) – Building Products

Area to be covered: National (2 days home based)

Benefits: £9,000 annual car allowance or company car & full benefits

The role of the National Account Manager – Wood Products will involve:

  • Managing a high-quality range of engineered wood products as a National Account Controller
  • Managing, developing, and mentoring 1 direct report
  • Focusing on managing one of our client's largest DIY distribution accounts (B&Q)
  • Supporting new product launches and development
  • Implementing pricing strategies
  • Liaising with internal customer service, marketing, supply chain, and transport teams
  • Willingness to travel nationally and be commutable to Southampton regularly
Candidate Requirements:
  • Proven track record in sales and account management
  • Experience managing large accounts in retail / DIY distribution sectors
  • Previous direct dealings with the Kingfisher Group preferred
  • Experience selling timber / wood products is advantageous but not essential
  • Commercially astute with the ability to create sustainable contractual agreements
