In this journey, we are now looking to bring in someone who will support this drive forward, joining a team who will support and aid his development within the role.
Role summary: This position will be responsible for managing a number of Key UK Accounts, both existing and new, and will work as part of the UK team, and the wider EMEA business Unit. This role will be fundamental in driving our UK Sales agenda, to meet and exceed our annual sales forecasts, expense budgets and profitability targets.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Build and develop WX Brands and Grupo Penaflor wine Brands within specific UK retailers, as well as targeting Own Label and Tertiary opportunities to support customers needs, and meet our targets.
- Work with the wider team of Logistics, Marketing and Finance departments to ensure successful and profitable long term sales
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with key and new accounts, while supporting our customers with excellent service
- Work with customer and internal teams to deliver promotional plans which drive our brands and support retailer needs
- Forecasting of all products within your portfolio, on a monthly and annual basis, using our internal forecasting process
- Be an ambassador for our business, and work within a high achieving team to constantly strive for success
Skills And Experience
- At least one year in a similar role
- Thorough knowledge of the UK Wine Market, with experience within the UK Grocery and/or Wholesale Sector
- Excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Effective time management and able to work under pressure and to agreed deadlines
- Demonstrate initiative and have an ability to work autonomously in a fast paced environment
- Team player and quick learner
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
- WSET qualifications – preferred but not essential – but must have a passion for wine
- Proactive with strong problem-solving skills
- Able to prioritise long-term projects whilst meeting short-term demands
- Manages and exceeds internal and external customer expectations
Other relevant information: This role is a home based role, with some domestic and international travel. You will be expected to visit your customers as regularly as needed, as well as attending relevant Trade Fairs, and team meetings, both in the UK and Madrid offices.
