A leading food business in the UK seeks a National Account Executive/Manager to manage and grow sales across retail and non-retail accounts. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially driven National Account Executive/Manager to join a growing commercial team. Reporting directly to the Sales & Marketing Director, you will take responsibility for managing and growing sales across a portfolio of retail and non-retail accounts. With autonomy to identify and secure new business opportunities, you will also be responsible for building and nurturing strong relationships with customers across multiple functions, ensuring long-term success and category growth.

Key Accountabilities
  • Manage and grow sales across retail and non-retail accounts with full ownership.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities, delivering successful product launches and new listings.
  • Build strong customer relationships across sales, supply chain, technical, product development, and merchandising.
  • Work closely with internal procurement to assess market opportunities for customers.
  • Monitor and manage customer stock levels in partnership with the supply chain team.
  • Collaborate with the Category Insight and Marketing teams to deliver data-led, best-in-class customer presentations.
  • Manage and report on sales performance, including contract balances.
Person Profile
  • Degree educated, ideally in a relevant business-related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience managing UK retail accounts, with a strong preference for food industry experience.
  • Proven success in winning new business and growing existing accounts.
  • Hands-on account manager with excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Driven, tenacious, and commercially astute with a competitive edge.
  • Strong IT skills, confident with spreadsheets and data analysis.
