Job summary

Prospero Teaching in Birmingham is seeking an experienced NASENCO-qualified SENCO to lead SEND provision in a small Alternative Provision setting in Kings Heath. You will work with staff, pupils, families and external professionals to ensure targeted support and progress for every learner.

Key duties include coordinating SEND across the setting, EHCP processes and annual reviews, and maintaining accurate SEND records.

Qualifications

• NASENCO qualification required
• Experience supporting SEND and EHCP processes
• Experience in Alternative Provision or PRU settings preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate SEND provision across the setting
• Identify and support pupils' additional needs
• Oversee EHCP processes and annual reviews
• Collaborate with parents, carers and external agencies
• Support staff with strategies and interventions
• Monitor pupil progress and SEND impact
• Ensure statutory SEND responsibilities are met
• Maintain SEND records and documentation
