Overview

A Nanny is required by a family in St John's Wood, London, to provide care to their school-aged child. The role includes all general nanny duties, along with typical after-school tasks and additional support with maths homework. The candidate is required to have tutoring experience, with a strong knowledge of Key Stage 2/Primary Level Maths and the ability to make learning enjoyable and motivating. Light cooking related to the child may be required. The household has a dog, so being pet-friendly is essential. A driver with their own car is required. A valid first-aid qualification is necessary for this position.

Working hours

3 afternoons per week (exact days and times to be confirmed / flexible). Total hours per week: 20 (to be confirmed)

Duties
  • Ensure the child’s safety, well-being, and development
  • Provide warm, attentive care in a structured environment
  • Supervise and support homework, with a focus on Key Stage 2/primary maths
  • Help with and review maths homework, explaining key concepts clearly and patiently
  • Make learning enjoyable and motivating
  • Encourage early literacy by reading books with the child
  • Establish and maintain consistent daily routines to support the child’s structure and development
  • School pick-up and driving to activities
  • Assist with child-related tasks such as laundry, tidying toys, managing the bedroom, and organising schoolwork and school bag
  • Cook simple, nutritious meals and snacks for the child when needed
  • Pet-friendly (dog in the home)
