Highlights
Overview
The parents are looking for a nanny who is active, hardworking, and a self-starter. The family would also love for the nanny to be a Mandarin speaker; however, this is not essential.
The baby is happy and in a very good routine. The family is keen for him to go to classes, groups, playdates, and activities. This is a shared care role - both parents are home, with the mother being very present with the baby and the father working from a home office. The baby currently has a Maternity Nurse who is leaving at the end of May – ideally, there will be a handover period of a few weeks to transition care to the new nanny.
The working days would be Monday to Friday, 12 hours per day on a flexible schedule (for example, starting later sometimes to accommodate a dinner or starting earlier to allow the parents to get to a morning commitment). The nanny would also have the baby monitor overnight, although it is very rare for the baby to wake.
The nanny needs to have a relaxed yet professional approach and recognize their role as being there to provide excellent care to the baby and support the parents.
The family has a beautiful home in Kensington with a private garden, plus communal garden access. The nanny would have their own private bedroom and bathroom (for use Monday to Friday only).
When the family travels, the nanny may travel with them depending on the situation. In the first year, it will be minimal due to work commitments but may increase as time goes on.
The family employs a housekeeper 2-3 days a week. All nursery duties would need to be completed by the nanny, including preparing fresh nutritious meals for the baby.
A driver is not needed.
The family has a 4-year-old Golden Retriever who has a dog walker. He’s trained and very friendly.
