Overview

This lovely family is looking for a full-time nanny-housekeeper to care for their baby and school‑aged child. The role involves all general nanny‑housekeeping duties and being an extra pair of hands for the mum, especially during evening and night routines. The ideal candidate will have experience with children from newborn to age six, be trustworthy, able to build strong relationships with the children, and comfortable working alongside both parents.

They should be warm, fun, kind, and engaging, and be a proactive self‑starter who can work independently as well as follow instructions.

A valid first aid qualification is required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Provide full care duties for both children, including engaging them in activities and supervising daily routines (homework, learning, play, bath and bedtime).
• Collaborate closely with the parents to ensure the children’s well‑being, development, and happiness.
• Occasionally collect one child from school and safely transport them home as required.
• Plan and prepare healthy, nutritious meals for the children and the family.
• Assist with laundry and regular bed changes for the family.
• Carry out light housework and general tidying as needed (a weekly housekeeper is employed).
• Run household errands when required.
• Demonstrate experience caring for children from newborn to age 6, building a strong and trusting relationship with the children and family.
• Work in partnership with the parents as part of the household team.

Hours and Schedule

Working hours: Monday to Friday, from 3:00 pm/4:00 pm to 8:00 pm (20 to 25 hours per week). Additional support from Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 10:00 am approximately one week per month (when husband is travelling). Opportunity to increase hours. Ad‑hoc babysitting available if desired.
