Job summary

The Yorkshire Nanny Company is seeking a seasoned childcare professional for a busy Halifax family. You will manage school runs, homework, meals, and daily routines for children from primary through to teenage years, ensuring a nurturing and structured environment.

You will start with early mornings, supervise transfers between schools, support after-school activities, and keep play and learning on track, while maintaining a calm, organized home life for the family.

Job description

Mon - Fri - 30/40 hours (Depending on whether candidates would like to do housekeeping duties)

Morning routine - nanny arrives at 6.45am to ensure children are ready for school and to set off at 7am. Drops at 3 different schools, all close by. Afternoons - collect from schools at 4pm or 5pm. Help with any homework, after school activities, prepare and serve children's evening meal, general care of the children until 8pm.

This family is looking for a seasoned childcare professional who is kind, calm, organised and emotionally intelligent. The nanny would understand the different needs of children from primary school through to their teenage years, combining warmth with clear, consistent boundaries.

The nanny would need to be proactive, trustworthy and able to manage a busy family life independently. Most importantly, they would need to genuinely care about children and take pride in creating a safe, happy and supportive environment where the children can thrive.
