An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a Named Nurse for Safeguarding Children in Hillingdon. This role will be responsible for ensuring high-quality safeguarding children practice across our Hillingdon services. It involves working alongside other Named Professionals to deliver our Safeguarding Children agenda across the Trust.
We seek an experienced safeguarding children practitioner who can provide expert advice, supervision, training, and support to our services. This full-time role requires a dynamic, responsive practitioner with a high level of safeguarding experience.
Cost allowances (HCAS) will be at the Outer London rate. Although based in Hillingdon, travel across other sites will be required.
If you are passionate about safeguarding children's needs, this could be the role for you. You will be supported by the Head of Safeguarding Children and other Named Professionals within the Trust.
To provide expert safeguarding children advice and strategic leadership within Hillingdon services, with potential to support Trust-wide safeguarding efforts.
To offer safeguarding advice, education, and training to maintain clinical excellence for staff involved with children and their carers. Also, to support staff across agencies on health issues involving children.
To collaborate with CNWL Named Professionals, Named Doctors, and Safeguarding Children Advisors to ensure high-quality, evidence-based health services for safeguarding children.
To work with Safeguarding Adult / Mental Capacity Act specialists to promote a 'Think Family' approach and amplify the voice of the person within health service delivery.
To provide information and assurance to the Designated Nurses regarding the effectiveness of commissioned services aimed at safeguarding children.
To contribute to the local Safeguarding Children Partnership (SCP) work and undertake any necessary health contributions.
To deliver safeguarding supervision and training, raising concerns with relevant managers or leaders.
