A healthcare trust in Dartford is seeking an experienced Named Midwife to lead safeguarding in maternity care across various sites. Responsibilities include providing expertise, coordinating care, and advising on risk management. Applicants should have substantial safeguarding experience and current NMC registration. This role offers a salary of £57,888 to £64,880 per annum pro rata.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Named Midwife to join our current multidisciplinary Safeguarding team within the Trust, this is an opportunity to join the safeguarding hub as an experienced safeguarding Midwife.
Our safeguarding teams work collaboratively in a single hub which encompasses CYP, maternity and adult safeguarding teams alongside mental health, and learning disability nurses. You will lead the provision of a robust safeguarding service in relation to Maternity care across the Darent Valley and Queen Mary\'s Sidcup Hospital sites, and community settings.
You will lead and coordinate the safeguarding and promotion of women and birthing people and their baby\'s welfare within the Trust and across a multi-agency arena, and be a source of expertise to all staff on safeguarding issues including the provision of statutory and mandatory training, and the identification of vulnerable service users. You will advise the Trust on all matters related to risk management and safeguarding in relation to Maternity care. The post holder will work collaboratively within the safeguarding hub, offering advice and expertise to other safeguarding professionals.
