Job Title: Naimuri Technical Lead
Job Type: Permanent, Fulltime
Location: Salford Quays
ID: 20841
Help us make the UK a safer place:
We can offer you the chance to help make the UK a safer place through innovation, working in partnership with government, defence, and law enforcement organisations on some of the most challenging data and technology problems out there.
We’ve just had our tenth birthday, having grown from a little-known tech start-up into a community of 180 people, mostly based in Salford, Greater Manchester. We also have a significant presence in London, Lincoln and Portsmouth.
Our name was chosen as an amalgamation of two Japanese words, to reflect our ethos: "Not & Overburden"
This principle applies to every aspect of our organisation from technology, process and infrastructure, through to people, culture and leadership. People and culture are at the heart of Naimuri, so that collectively, we can realise our mission of making the UK a safer place to be. We work in an Agile-first environment that values transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Working on a variety of projects that range in length from a few weeks to 5+ years, the role of a Technical Lead is to own the overall technical solution, and guide the technical delivery of a project, with the key aim of reducing risk and improving project outcomes.
You will act as the primary technical point of contact for the customer and other stakeholders (partners, suppliers, Naimuri management) on a specific project.
Your responsibilities will include solutions architecture and delivery roadmap, along with supporting the customer in their decision making.
You will engage regularly with other technical leads across the company, both seeking and providing support. This will include time allocated to individual projects, as well as wider engagement.
Here are some things we’ve worked on recently that might give you a better sense of the kind of work you could be leading on:
Continuous Personal Development, or Personal Kaizen, is a core part of Naimuri's culture, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to develop in a transparent and supportive environment.
Base: This will be based at our Head Office in Salford Quays, Manchester.
Hybrid Working: We offer hybrid working. This consists of a minimum of 3 days working in the office or customer site, but you are welcome to spend more time on-site if preferred.
Travel: Occasional visits to customer sites around the country may be required.
Naimuri pays competitively within the industry based on your role's base location rates. The salary for this position is dependent upon your experience. We assess seniority relative to the team at Naimuri during the interviewing process.
A full time working week is 37.5 hours and you have flexibility over when you give that time. We also offer part-time working which can be discussed during the recruitment process. There is an expectation that the successful candidate will work directly from one of our office locations, or customer sites, for at least 3 days a week.
We are committed to building an inclusive, safe and supportive environment that allows everyone to do their best work, so we strongly encourage candidates of all different backgrounds and identities to apply. We can of course support any accessibility or neurodiversity requirements that you may need during the recruitment process.
We want to ensure that you feel comfortable and confident when interviewing with us. To help you prepare, our recruitment team will be happy to discuss the process in more detail with you when you apply.
