Job Description:
Your Tasks
  • Field based Engineer capable of carrying out service, maintenance, and breakdown repairs on our specialist machinery, as well as installation and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Organise parts and labour from cross-functional resources to enable successful implementation of all service and modification projects.
  • Coordinate the operations team and any sub-contractors to ensure projects are adequately resourced.
  • Assist all project operations to achieve objectives within budget, on time, and to quality standards, conforming to company policies and procedures.
Your Skills
  • Relevant engineering qualification such as an Apprenticeship or HNC/HND in an engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Multi-disciplined electro-mechanical engineer with skills in electrical control systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
  • Experience in service, repair, maintenance, and modernisation of equipment, preferably in automotive, aerospace, or similar manufacturing environments.
  • Fault finding, problem solving, and technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with installing and commissioning conveyors and automotive end-of-line equipment is advantageous.
  • Ability to supervise and manage contractors and deliver training to customers is desirable.
  • Customer relationship management experience and sales opportunity identification are beneficial.
  • Knowledge of UK H&S legislation; IOSH qualification is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and excellent communication skills.
  • Methodical, accurate, self-motivated, with strong planning and workload prioritisation skills.
  • Flexible and able to work independently or within a team; willing to travel extensively, including overseas, with occasional weekend and shift work.
