About the role

Balfour Beatty are currently looking for a My Contribution Senior Executive (18 Month FTC) to join our Group Head Office - Communications team based in Canary Wharf on a 18 Month Fixed Term Contract.

You will support all day-to-day operations of My Contribution, ensuring the smooth running of people, process, technology, and communications elements. You will actively participate in the MyC community, working closely with the MyC Team.

What you'll be doing

Your responsibilities include:

  • Running an effective MyC triage process, qualifying ideas, identifying common themes, and ensuring clear communications for submitters.
  • Collaborating to deliver upgrades and improvements to the ideas platform, reporting dashboards, and social networks.
  • Coordinating reports for senior leaders, tracking progress against KPIs, and sharing successes or areas for improvement.
  • Regular monitoring of programme results, ensuring quality of idea data in the MyC platform for accurate progress reporting.
  • Supporting My Contribution campaigns and events, offering expert guidance to ensure they align with business objectives.
  • Programme promotion, education and training, creating impactful communications content such as presentations, sharepoint pages, videos and hub stories.
  • Developing creative and aligned communications plans targeting audiences using the best channels available.
  • Driving engagement in Viva Engage communities related to MyC.
  • Gathering and analysing feedback from employees, Team MyC, and leaders to identify areas for improvement and make informed recommendations to enhance the programme.
  • Sourcing engaging examples of ideas, projects, and people stories to share with various audiences.
  • Engaging employees, celebrating achievements, and recognizing success through various communication channels.
  • Training MyC Leads in ways of working and platform usage and offering ongoing guidance and coordination of the MyC Lead community across functions and businesses to support collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Supporting recruitment, induction and onboarding for new Team MyC members and ongoing engagement strategy.
  • Managing ideas needing central coordination.
  • Helping to identify and prioritise ideas with significant potential to deliver benefits or to leverage across the business

Who we're looking for

  • Team player with ability to work with individuals across multiple geographical locations
  • Adapts positively to changing business demands and working within tight deadlines
  • Experience of working with large, geographically dispersed and diverse virtual teams
  • Good communication, written and interpersonal skills, focus on quality and creativity
  • Experience of achieving goals and communicating creatively and effectively
  • Computer literate and very comfortable with using digital and cloud based technology
  • Experience of promoting campaigns and driving engagement in a sizable organisation
  • Willingness to travel around the UK
