Job summary

POWERX is seeking an OEM Field Service Technician 1 to perform hands-on installation, inspection, and basic troubleshooting of low and medium voltage electrical equipment at customer sites. You will follow project directions, ensure quality and safety, and support project managers and senior technicians to deliver on-time completions.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of electrical experience, a high school diploma or technical training, and ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years electrical experience, preferably in a data center or industrial environment.
• High school diploma or technical school certificate/diploma required.
• Relevant certifications preferred: Technician License, NETA 1, OSHA 10.
• Experience with power distribution system equipment — low and medium voltage (480V–48kV).
• Ability to read wiring schematics and follow project specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform point-to-point checks to ensure all connections are properly established and functioning.
• Install conduit, wire, cable, and devices per specifications and codes.
• Terminate wires per specifications to ensure safe operation and assist with system start-up.
• Read and apply wiring schematics; document progress in Excel.
