The Investment Solutions Group is responsible for providing investment insights, platforms and solutions for client serviced within Global Wealth and Investment Management including Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, Private Bank and Consumer Investments, representing over $3T in client AUM.

This will primarily provide product management responsibilities for the mutual fund business across the various platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform product management responsibilities for a population of mutual fund providers under your coverage responsibility. This includes:
  • Daily responsibility for supporting key mutual fund product management functions, including:
  • Adding new funds to the platform or removing existing funds from the platform. This includes partnering with key contacts at the mutual fund to obtain and review required information necessary to support the fund on our operational platforms, partnering with operations to establish the fund accurately on our platforms, partnering with channel partners (Private Bank, Workplace Benefits, etc.) to understand needs and communication requirements and/or status, etc.
  • Managing daily maintenance activities, such as mergers, liquidations, etc.
  • Partnering on related FA communications
  • Performing mutual fund prospectus reviews for key language requirements
  • Partnering with channel partners, mutual fund partners, and the field to address questions and provide necessary support for the mutual funds under your coverage.
  • Supporting business due diligence processes on the mutual funds under your coverage
  • Supporting governance and risk routines such as mutual fund share class reviews, mutual fund cost reviews, etc.
  • Supporting key mutual fund initiatives, such as changes to how mutual funds are offered through our brokerage channels, use of share classes across different channels, etc.
  • Supporting other key mutual fund support functions, such as addressing escalated operational issues such as with mutual fund transfers, trade exceptions, etc.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of relevant financial industry experience
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and simultaneously manage daily responsibilities and projects
  • Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
  • Currently have the 7 & 66 (or equivalent licenses), or able to obtain within 120 days

Desired Qualifications:

  • 5+ years mutual fund product, financial services, or process controls/risk management experience
  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • MIDAS or COGNOS, or the ability to learn data mining query tools

US - NJ - Jersey City - 101 Hudson St - 101 Hudson (NJ2101) Pay and benefits information Pay range $105,000.00 - $167,700.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set. Discretionary incentive eligible This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
