Overview

We are currently recruiting for a part time Technician in our Music Department. The Music Department is a thriving, dynamic, and supportive team in which to work. We currently offer KS4 Music as well as Music and Music Technology at KS5. The department is well resourced with a specialist IT suite and a separate studio. The post holder would be expected to support the use of Cubase in KS3, KS4, and KS5 as well as looking after the studio and assisting students in preparing for, and carrying out, coursework recording sessions at GCSE and A Level.

St Mary Redcliffe and Temple (SMRT) is a successful and heavily oversubscribed 11-18 co-educational, Church of England, comprehensive school of over 1750 students, serving families from the whole of greater Bristol and beyond. We are located at the heart of the city and have a diverse student community with considerable parental support. The Redcliffe Sixth Form Centre currently houses approximately 700 students from our own school and from many other schools across the City.

Responsibilities
  • Support the use of Cubase in KS3, KS4, and KS5.
  • Look after the studio and assist students in preparing for, and carrying out, coursework recording sessions at GCSE and A Level.
Contract and benefits

The post is one day per week (7 hrs 30 mins). The successful candidate will work term time only, including INSET days that fall within the agreed working pattern (to be agreed in line with the needs of the School).

  • Salary range is Bristol Grade 6 (BG6) currently £25,183 rising to £25,584 (gross per annum paid pro rata plus holiday pay).
  • The contract is fixed term initially until 31 August 2026 and is subject to a 6-month probationary period.
  • The start date is subject to confirmation and satisfactory clearances.
