In this role, you'll be teaching a variety of musical genres, theory, performance, and composition. Music Teacher Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, high-quality Music lessons across Key Stage 3, 4, and 5

  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment with effective behaviour management
  • Contribute to the development of the department's curriculum and lesson planning

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • A deep passion for Music and the ability to teach across a range of musical styles
  • The ability to engage, inspire, and challenge students of all abilities
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills to ensure the smooth running of lessons and the department
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Previous experience teaching Music at secondary level
