About the Music Teacher Role

Music Teacher Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, high-quality Music lessons across Key Stage 3, 4, and 5
• Differentiate your teaching to meet the diverse needs and abilities of all students
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment with effective behaviour management
• Contribute to the development of the department’s curriculum and lesson planning
• Encourage student participation in extracurricular music activities such as performances, events, and workshops

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• A deep passion for Music and the ability to teach across a range of musical styles
• The ability to engage, inspire, and challenge students of all abilities
• Excellent communication and organisational skills to ensure the smooth running of lessons and the department

• Previous experience teaching Music at secondary level
