Salary: £130 £230 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
Hours: 08 30

About the Role:

We are currently seeking a dedicated Music Teacher to join the school on a long-term basis starting in September 2025. The successful candidate will teach music across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students through dynamic lessons and practical performance opportunities. You'll play a key role in developing the school's music curriculum and encouraging participation in concerts, ensembles, and extracurricular activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons covering music theory, performance, and composition

  • Teach a broad and inclusive music curriculum in line with national standards

  • Support and develop student performance through ensembles, choirs, and concerts

  • Encourage creativity, musical appreciation, and self-expression in students

  • Track and assess student progress, providing targeted feedback

  • Collaborate with staff on school events and cross-curricular projects

Requirements:
  • Experience teaching music in a secondary school setting is desirable

  • Strong subject knowledge across a range of instruments and music software

  • Ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities

  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills

  • A passion for music education and student development

Qualifications:
  • A degree in Music or Music Education

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) is essential

  • Experience with performance direction or music tech is advantageous
