About the Music Teacher Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher to join our thriving Music department. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach Music across Key Stages 3-5, inspiring students of all abilities and nurturing their musical potential.

Responsibilities of the Music Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Music lessons that cater to a range of learning styles and musical interests.
  • Create a dynamic and supportive learning environment where students feel confident to express themselves musically.
  • Teach a variety of musical instruments and vocal techniques.
  • Lead and direct school choirs and instrumental ensembles.
  • Organise and participate in school concerts and musical productions.
  • Assess and monitor student progress in Music, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Contribute to the development of the Music curriculum and departmental resources.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and ensure the highest standards of Music teaching.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in Music or a related field.
