An outstanding creative secondary in Wakefield is seeking a Music Teacher with strong performance and production skills to join their team for September 2025. This is a vibrant school where the arts are deeply embedded in the school culture.
Job Role:
You will teach Music across KS3 and KS4, with optional KS5 depending on your experience. You will also direct school ensembles, coordinate performances, and support peripatetic teachers.
Duties Include:
Deliver engaging Music lessons that incorporate both traditional and digital approaches
Organise and lead whole-school musical events, showcases, and concerts
Facilitate student compositions and use music production tools and software
Work with local partners, music services, and arts organisations
Provide musical support to cross-departmental projects (e.g. school plays)
Candidate Requirements:
Music degree with QTS
Confident with instrumental teaching, composition, and music theory
Strong tech literacy (Ableton, Logic, or GarageBand preferred)
High enthusiasm for music education, student voice, and performance
