Great Torrington School is looking to appoint a fully qualified and enthusiastic teacher of music to join our successful Performing Arts Team. Applicants are welcome from both full-time and part-time candidates.
We seek a fully qualified, passionate music teacher to join our thriving Performing Arts Department. Our music department encourages creativity and offers students hands-on experience with musical instruments, both individually and in ensembles. The curriculum is practical and relevant to contemporary society. Students studying GCSE Music at KS4 have opportunities for live performances and independent projects. The department is equipped with an iMac suite running software such as Logic Pro X and Ableton Live. Whole-school performance events are key dates in the calendar and highly valued.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach all aspects of music at Key Stages 3 and 4, integrate fully into the Performing Arts team, and foster a love of music across genres. A passion for developing the school choir and contributing to extra-curricular activities is essential.
