Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Music Teacher to join a vibrant and creative school community. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire a love of music and performance across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 teaching available for the right candidate). Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a Music Teacher:

Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive music lessons that foster creativity, musicality and confidence

Teach across a range of musical disciplines, including performance, composition and theory

Prepare students for assessments, performances, and public examinations (e.g., GCSE or equivalent)

Lead or support extra-curricular activities such as choir, band, or school productions

Contribute to the development of the music curriculum and department resources

Maintain a positive and encouraging classroom environment that promotes enjoyment and participation

Ideal Music Teacher:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

A degree in Music or a related subject

Experience teaching music at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)

Strong practical skills in one or more instruments and/or vocal performance

Excellent classroom management and communication skills as a Music Teacher.
