Job summary

Connex Education Partnership in Leeds is seeking a Music Teacher to join a mainstream secondary school on an ASAP start. The role is full-time in name, but runs 32.5 hours per week during term time, with responsibility for delivering the full timetable.

You will plan and deliver engaging music lessons, assess pupil progress, and contribute to the department. The school welcomes both experienced teachers and those with ECT status, with DBS checks required or in progress.

Qualifications

• Must have QTS and be able to teach Music to secondary pupils.
• Experience in secondary school preferred.
• DBS check up-to-date or willingness to apply.

About the Role / Setting

You will be teaching Music within a mainstream secondary school environment, delivering lessons as part of the curriculum. The school is seeking a specialist who can confidently manage a full timetable and contribute positively to the department. Candidates with an Music specialism are ideal and the school are open to ECT’s or experienced teachers.

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status.
• IT teaching experience for at least one full term.
• Experience working in a classroom environment or a similar education setting.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Proof of right to work in the UK.
• A current DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for a new enhanced DBS.
