Job Title: Music Teacher
Location: Rotherham
Salary: Up to £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term; Full-Time / Part-Time

Are you a talented Music Teacher ready to inspire the next generation of musicians?

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Music Teacher to join a vibrant and inclusive school in Rotherham from September 2025. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced teachers and ECTs who are passionate about music education and performance.

Role Overview:
As a Music Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons that develop students’ musical abilities, appreciation, and confidence. You’ll play a key role in fostering creativity through a dynamic and well-supported music department.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality music lessons across Key Stages, following the national curriculum.
  • Encourage students to explore a range of musical styles, instruments, and technologies.
  • Prepare pupils for practical and theoretical music assessments and performances.
  • Promote a classroom environment that nurtures self-expression and collaboration.
  • Support extracurricular music activities such as school concerts, choirs, or ensembles.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Uphold school policies and maintain high standards of safeguarding and inclusion.

Candidate Requirements:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Music.
  • Strong knowledge of music theory, composition, and performance techniques.
  • Experience teaching Music at secondary level is desirable.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • A creative and adaptable teaching approach that engages all learners.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
