Job description

This vibrant school in Norwich is seeking a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire students and develop their musical skills, creativity, and appreciation for music. This role begins September 2025.

Duties as a Music Teacher:
  1. Plan and deliver engaging music lessons to students at a secondary level.
  2. Teach a range of musical skills, including theory, composition, and performance.
  3. Encourage students to explore different musical genres and instruments.
  4. Lead and support school choirs, bands, or orchestras.
  5. Organise and participate in musical performances, concerts, and school events.
  6. Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  7. Contribute to the development of the music curriculum and extracurricular activities.
Ideal Music Teacher:
  1. A degree in Music or a related subject.
  2. Teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) preferred.
  3. Experience teaching Music at a secondary level.
  4. Ability to play and teach one or more instruments is desirable.
  5. Strong classroom management and communication skills as a Music Teacher.
  6. Passionate about music and committed to inspiring students.
