Job Title: Music Teacher

Location: Seaton Delaval

Salary: £180 - £250 (Depending on experience)

Start date: ASAP

We are seeking a compassionate, resourceful, and experienced Music Teacher to join our close-knit team. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the lives of our students.

We are looking for a teacher who has experience working with KS3 - KS4 students.

What You'll Do
  • Design and deliver engaging, individualized lesson plans that align with students' Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages communication, social interaction, and emotional growth.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and teaching assistants, to ensure holistic support for each student.
  • Use evidence-based teaching strategies, including TEACCH, PECS, and sensory integration techniques.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining accurate records and reporting to parents/carers and external professionals.

  • Qualifications: QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent with a strong background in SEN.
  • Experience: Proven track record of working with children with autism, preferably in a primary setting.
  • Skills: Exceptional communication, adaptability, and the ability to build trust and rapport with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Passion: A genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of children with autism.
  • Creativity: The ability to think outside the box and tailor teaching methods to diverse learning styles.
