Person Specification - Music Teacher:
  1. UK QTS essential, or currently working towards this ready for September 2025.
  2. Has a relevant degree or equivalent.
  3. A candidate who is genuinely passionate about music education and student achievement.
  4. Has strong subject knowledge and can deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential).
  5. Embraces a consistent, warm but firm approach to behaviour and routines.
  6. Believes in high standards and holds every student to them.
  7. Sees feedback as a key tool for growth - for students and themselves.
  8. Wants to be part of a team that works collaboratively to raise outcomes.
  9. Is enthusiastic about contributing to extra-curricular opportunities such as ensembles, concerts or productions.
  10. Is either an experienced practitioner or an ECT eager to learn and grow.
The Role - Music Teacher:
  1. Full-time, permanent position from September 2025.
  2. Teach music across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially KS5 if desired).
  3. Plan and deliver high-quality, well-structured lessons with clear progression.
  4. Contribute to the ongoing development of the music curriculum.
  5. Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback.
  6. Take part in school concerts, enrichment clubs, and trips.
  7. Support the ethos and values of the school and its wider community.
