Job Title: Music Teacher (Secondary School)
Location: Southwark, London
Contract: Temporary, 1 Term (September Start)
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

About the Role:
We are seeking a talented and passionate Music Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Southwark for one term, starting in September. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and nurture young minds in a supportive environment, where creativity and academic achievement are highly valued.

As a Music Teacher, you will have the opportunity to teach a range of classes across Key Stage 3 and 4, helping students develop both their practical and theoretical understanding of music. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, dedicated, and able to deliver engaging lessons that inspire students to explore and develop their musical talents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the school's curriculum and standards.

  • Teach music to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, with the potential for GCSE preparation.

  • Encourage students to participate in extracurricular music activities and performances.

  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to support their development.

  • Work closely with the wider school community to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.

  • A strong passion for music and the ability to inspire students.

  • Experience teaching music at secondary school level (preferably Key Stage 3 and 4).

  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents.

Desirable:

  • Experience with GCSE and A-Level music teaching.

  • Involvement in music-based extracurricular activities.
