Job description

We are seeking a passionate and talented Music Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Milton Keynes on a permanent basis, starting in September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Music Teacher to inspire and motivate students in their musical development while contributing to a dynamic and supportive school community.

As a Music Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality music education to students at various levels, from Key Stage 3 through to Key Stage 4. You will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of musical talents, from beginners to advanced students, helping them develop their skills in both practical and theoretical aspects of music.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and effective lessons in music, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and a love for music in students.
• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that cater to a diverse range of student abilities and learning styles.
• Provide regular feedback and assessments to support student development and achievement.
• Encourage participation in extracurricular music activities, such as school performances, concerts, and music clubs.
• Collaborate with colleagues in the department and across the school to enhance the music curriculum and promote a wider appreciation for the arts.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of the school's music resources and teaching strategies.

Requirements:

• A valid Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
• UK teaching experience in music or a related subject.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
• A genuine passion for music and the ability to inspire and engage students.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• The ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
