Job description

Connex Education is currently recruiting for a passionate and qualified Teacher of Music to join a vibrant secondary school in South Birmingham. This is a full-time role starting as soon as possible and continuing until the end of the summer term, with potential for extension or a permanent position for the right candidate.

Position Details:

• Role: Teacher of Music (KS3 & KS4)

• Location:South Birmingham, near to the B14 area

• Start Date: ASAP

• Duration: Until end of summer term (with possible extension)

• Salary: £765 – £1,110 per week (dependent on experience, paid to scale via PAYE)

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Music teacher with QTS to inspire and engage students across Key Stages 3 and 4. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong classroom management, a commitment to high standards, and a positive, team-oriented attitude. A confident use of IT in teaching is also essential.

Candidate Requirements:

• QTS/QTLS (or equivalent)

• Experience teaching Music in secondary schools (KS3 and KS4)

• Excellent communication and organisational skills

• Strong behaviour management

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply for one)

• Applications are welcomed from ECTs and experienced teachers alike
