Job description

This school is seeking a passionate and dynamic Music Teacher to join a vibrant Creative Arts department. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire young musicians and develop a love of music through high-quality teaching and engaging extracurricular opportunities. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a Music Teacher:

1. Teach Music across Key Stages 3 and 4
2. Plan and deliver engaging lessons that develop students’ skills in performance, composition, and music theory
3. Lead and support extracurricular activities such as choirs, bands, or school productions
4. Encourage participation in musical events, competitions, and performances
5. Contribute to the development of a rich and inclusive music curriculum

Ideal Music Teacher:

1. A qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with a specialism in Music
2. Strong practical skills in one or more instruments and/or vocal performance
3. A passion for music education and inspiring young people
4. Excellent classroom management and communication skills
5. Experience with music technology (e.g., GarageBand, Sibelius, Logic Pro) is desirable
