Are you a creative teacher who can teach music production?! Are you looking for a new challenging role in Islington this September?

Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for a music production teacher to join this creative special school in Islington. This is a full time, long-term role starting in September 2025 and ending July 2026

The School:

This creative special school in Islington provides alternative education through a Performing Arts and Media curriculum alongside core subjects. Now housed in a brand new building at the heart of North London's Tech City area, facilities have been purpose built to offer a range of high specification specialist teaching spaces including a Theatre, Dance Studio, Recording Studio, Music Technology Suites, Film and Photography Studios. They believe that education has the power not only to enrich lives, but to transform them. Their curriculum is designed to ignite a love of learning and ensure students experience an individualised approach which enables them to grow and flourish as emerging professionals within a culture of creativity and collaboration.

The role:

  • Planning and delivering exciting music production lessons to students in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
  • Encouraging and promoting student engagement
  • Contributing to support plans and strategies to meet the needs of each student
  • Collaborating with staff, parents/carers, and outside agencies
  • Monitoring and recording student progress and achievements

As a Music production teacher you will need:

  • Experience of teaching Music, specifically music production
  • Knowledge of technology used
  • A good understanding of SEMH needs in young people
  • Open-minded, positive and friendly approach
  • A caring and professional manner
  • Must have legal right to work in the UK
