Your Role as a Music ECT:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and creative Music lessons across KS3 and KS4, with potential opportunities to contribute to KS5.
  • Develop students' skills in performance, composition, and music theory, fostering a love for music across different styles and genres.
  • Support students in developing confidence and self-expression through music.
  • Contribute to the school's vibrant extracurricular program, including concerts, music clubs, and ensembles.
  • Work closely with the Head of Music and colleagues to refine and develop the Music curriculum.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • A passionate and motivated Early Career Teacher (ECT) with a degree in Music and a PGCE or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong musical knowledge and the ability to teach a broad range of styles and instruments.
  • A commitment to fostering creativity and inspiring students to develop their musical abilities.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • A willingness to contribute to the wider school community through music performances and events.
  • Enhanced DBS Check (or willingness to obtain one).
