We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Music and Technical Assistant to support the Director of Music and music staff in the smooth running of music teaching, performances, and events across the School. The successful candidate will have excellent organisational and communication skills, along with confidence in handling the technical aspects of music and event production.
This role requires a proactive and dedicated individual with a passion for music and technology. Holding a Relevant Degree Or Diploma In Music Technology, Music Production, Or An Equivalent Professional Qualification In Audio Recording And Studio Sequencing, The Successful Candidate Will Be
- Proficient in designing and maintaining audio hardware and recording studio systems
- Skilled in setting up and engineering sound for Music Department performances and events
- Excellent working knowledge of music technology software and DAWs, including Logic Pro
- Able to set up and operate sound and lighting equipment

The Music Department is housed in purpose-built, well-equipped accommodation which comprises of three classrooms, eight practice and teaching rooms, a 50-seat auditorium, reception hall, office, kitchen and bathrooms. There are five full time members of staff and 20+ visiting music teachers who work closely with the Director of Music.
Founded in 1993, the Harrodian is a co-educational school set on 25 acres of grounds with excellent facilities. Working days and hours
This is a full-time, term time plus staff training days only position. There will also be some evening and weekend work around rehearsals, concerts, performances and other school events. Full-time working days and hours at Harrodian are Mondays to Fridays, 08h00 to 17h00. Five (full) staff training days are held over the year, at the start of the Autumn, October half, and Spring terms. Term dates are published on the School's website.
Salary And Benefits
The agreed salary will depend upon qualifications and experience. The salary will be compliant with the national minimum wage, paid on the basis of 35.2 working weeks and paid equally over 12 months.
