Music & Performing Arts Technician

Location: An Ofsted-rated Good FE college in Greater Manchester
Contract: Full-time, permanent (37 hrs/week)
Salary:
£26,035 £28,318 per annum

Our facilities include a fully equipped theatre, rehearsal studios, and music and dance spaces, creating a practical and inspiring learning environment for students pursuing careers in the creative industries.

Role Overview

We re seeking a skilled and proactive Music & Performing Arts Technician with a background in theatre production to support students and staff. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Maintaining and safely operating the theatre, rehearsal rooms, and dance studios
  • Running technical workshops and demonstrating lighting and sound equipment
  • Supporting the technical aspects of curriculum delivery
  • Providing sound and lighting support for student performances and wider college events
  • Ensuring all performance spaces are safe, well-maintained, and fit for purpose
