Our books are published in 47 languages around the world and regularly top the bestseller lists abroad as well as at home.

The salary is £27,000-30,000 p/a based on experience and subject to a review after 6 months. This is not an entry level role.

Duties and responsibilities
The job includes: reading and assessing manuscripts, editorial notes on client manuscripts, liaising with our book-keeper and accountant on payments, organising the author party, booking travel, scheduling meetings, taking minutes, chasing publication plans, liaising with the other internal departments on the website/rights guides, coming up with proactive ideas for our blog and for clients.

Skills and experience
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years’ experience in an agency, scouting agency or publishing house, and will thrive on having a varied and dynamic work day, as well as recognising the value of efficient administration.

The role will be a mix of creative and administrative, and will suit someone with excellent organisation skills who reads voraciously and broadly. Juliet’s client list is wide ranging and bestselling - you will be working on high profile clients in a range of genres from crime to historical to science fiction and fantasy. This is not an entry level role.
