Job description

Job Title: Museum Support Officer

The Culture and Creative Industries Service is recruiting a Museum Support Officer to manage financial grant reporting and administration for our Service programme.

This role is highly varied and offers opportunities for growth as the team takes on new programmes and activities funded by diverse sources, including funders and commercial income. The Museum Support Officer will work closely with the Culture and Creative Industries Senior Leadership Team and the South West Museum Development Programme.

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Ensuring timely reporting for Arts Council grant programmes operated by South West Museum Development.
  2. Contributing to the preparation of the South West Museum Development financial annual report.
  3. Collating investment reports for activities across museums in the South West of England.
  4. Assisting in preparing reports on the service's financial position for wider teams and stakeholders.

There are also opportunities to develop skills in project management and grant management, tailored to your and the team's development needs. The role is based at Bristol Museum and Art Gallery, with flexible home working options. The position requires excellent organisational, communication, and financial management skills.
