Job Description:

We’re partnering with a global Tier 1 investment bank to hire a Murex Risk Business Analyst in London. This role involves working within their Markets and Treasury division, focusing on regulatory, risk, and XVA-related initiatives.

Role Overview

The Murex Risk Business Analyst will configure, maintain, and optimize the Murex platform, particularly concerning Risk, XVA, and Regulatory Compliance (including FRTB). Collaboration with stakeholders, IT, and compliance teams is essential to ensure system alignment with business and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and support Murex for risk, XVA, and treasury functions
• Implement enhancements for regulatory initiatives like FRTB
• Gather requirements and create functional specifications
• Lead testing phases including system testing, integration, and UAT
• Provide second and third-line support, incident resolution
• Manage stakeholder expectations through cross-functional collaboration
• Drive continuous improvement of the platform

Qualifications and Experience

Murex Expertise

• Deep knowledge of Murex architecture, especially Risk and XVA modules
• Experience with MxML workflows, Datamart, scripting, and automation
• Risk configuration experience including VaR, PFE, stress testing, and limit management

XVA & Regulatory Knowledge

• Experience implementing CVA, DVA, FVA, MVA in Murex
• Understanding of FRTB and capital regulatory frameworks
• Ability to support Standardized and Internal Model Approaches in Murex

Performance & Integration

• Experience optimizing Murex for large-scale risk and real-time performance
• Integration skills with upstream/downstream systems using MxML Exchange

Educational Background & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, or related field
• Experience in investment banking or financial services
• Murex certifications or project management experience (preferred)
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
