Job Description

A Municipal Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the planning, execution, and completion of various municipal infrastructure projects, including roads, water systems, parks, and buildings, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to established quality standards, while collaborating with internal stakeholders and the public to address community needs.

Position Type: Full Time
Office: Warrington or Malvern, PA
Salary Range: $90,000 to $130,000 annual (w/ potential for performance-based bonuses).

Position Description:

  1. Municipal client representation as Township or Borough Engineer, serving as a primary or supporting municipal consultant.
  2. Attend and participate in municipal meetings to represent clients.
  3. Manage and review subdivision and land development plans for conformance with municipal ordinances.
  4. Oversee stormwater management design, detention basin rehabilitation, and infrastructure improvements.
  5. Assist with state and local permitting processes.
  6. Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, and engineering assessments.
  7. Provide construction support services, including contract administration, project coordination, permitting, and budget management.
  8. Develop and maintain client relationships, ensuring high-quality municipal services.
  9. Perform business development to help facilitate growth in municipal and utility engineering, including securing new municipal clients and expanding services to existing ones.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  1. B.S. in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  2. 10+ years of experience.
  3. Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in PA is required.
  4. Experience with:
    1. Municipal Engineering and municipal client representation as Township or Borough Engineer.
    2. Subdivision and land development plan review, zoning, grading, and stormwater management.
    3. MS-4 Programs (including PRPs) on behalf of municipal clients.
    4. Public Works design and infrastructure rehabilitation projects.
    5. Construction administration, budgeting, and escrow account management.
  5. Some AutoCAD Civil 3D experience.
  6. Business development experience and/or existing municipal client relationships strongly preferred.
  7. Strong written and oral communication skills.
