Job summary

Adler & Allan in Airdrie, Scotland is seeking a hands-on Multiskilled Technician + HGV to join our depot team. The role covers tanker driving, high-pressure jetting, environmental clean-ups, and general groundworks, with training provided.

You’ll operate specialist equipment while upholding safety, quality, and professionalism at all times. This permanent, full-time position offers varied work, potential call-outs, and a close-knit team environment at our Airdrie site, with overtime available

Qualifications

• A full UK driving licence (HGV or plant experience preferable).
• A practical, can-do attitude with flexibility in hours.
• Experience in a similar role or industry, or willingness to learn on the job.
• A strong team player willing to travel and stay away when needed.
• Knowledge of RAMS and health & safety practices (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Operating jetting and clean-up equipment.
• Operate Company vehicles, including HGV, or other qualified vehicles.
• Tackling spills, fly tipping and environmental hazards.
• Supporting civil engineering and industrial service projects.
• Carrying out vehicle checks, maintenance and reporting.
• Liaising with customers and ensuring job documentation is completed.
• Being part of a call-out rota for emergency works with overtime available.

What’s the job?

As a Multiskilled Technician + HGV, you’ll play a vital role in delivering essential services – from Tanker driving, high‑pressure water jetting and environmental clean‑ups to industrial services and general groundworks. No two days are the same, and you’ll be at the heart of the action, operating specialist equipment and vehicles (training provided) while keeping safety, quality, and professionalism front and centre.

Your typical day could include:

• Operating jetting and clean‑up equipment
• Operate Company vehicles, (including HGV) or any other vehicle for which the postholder is suitably qualified to operate.
• Tackling spills, fly tips and environmental hazards
• Supporting civil engineering and industrial service projects
• Carrying out vehicle checks, maintenance and reporting
• Liaising with customers and ensuring job documentation is completed
• Being part of a call‑out rota for emergency works (with overtime available!)
