Job summary

NCHA is seeking a skilled trades operative to deliver maintenance on housing stock and for external customers. You will perform design, installation, servicing and repairs across multiple trades, focusing on safety, quality and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Extensive, demonstrable post-qualification experience in the relevant trade.
• Delivery of a variable workload in a customer-focused environment and target-driven service.
• Recent multi-trade experience (joinery, plastering, tiling, painting).
• Understanding and experience of current Health and Safety requirements.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to use computerised data recording equipment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out design, installation, maintenance and repair work.
• Service, maintain, repair and fault-find hot and cold water systems.
• Co-ordinate trades and work with partners to deliver excellent service.
• Manage stock and supplies to prevent delays.
• Work efficiently to deliver value for money and identify service improvements.
• Update records and complete documentation on time.
• Observe Health & Safety requirements in all activities.
• Inform line manager of issues promptly and support team operations.
• Provide relief cover and standby for emergencies.
• Understand performance standards and meet targets.
